I have wanted to learn to make a hat for a while, but I did not know how to make a circle to start a hat.
I have gotten books from the library before, but it did not work very well because of my learning style.
I am a visual learner, so trying to learn by reading something like this “Round 1. ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join with sl st. on top of ch 3. -12 sts." was not really helping me. So I went to plan B I looked up a YouTube video on “how to crochet a baby hat”.
The first one I found was very hard to follow along for a beginner. So I looked up something a little bit different. This time I added “for beginners”.
It came up with a great video this time!
The lady would tell you what to do, then she would do it very slowly so you could follow along.
It is really nice because I can watch it over and over again. And after watching it three times I started to memorize what to do. It gets easier and easier each time I watch it.
So far I have made 3 baby hats with this pattern, and I plan to make 4 more with this pattern.
I hope you have fun!
