My life has turned out to be more busy and enjoyable than I thought it would be, but also more challenging.
Here's a look into my week, two days a week I nanny a 6 month and 21 month old boys and 3 days a week I nanny a 5 year old, 3 year old and 10 month old boys. It has been an amazing adventure caring for these boys, it's so fun to see each of their personalities and to watch them as they learn to express themselves in their own ways.
I've been a nanny since August, I chose nannying because I love kids and thought it would be something I enjoy. Well I was right, I have enjoyed it immensely. My boys (what I like to call them) have taught me so much, they have taught me to be more patient, to multitask, how to play rescue bots, how to love deeper, to enjoy the little things and so much more. I hope that I have taught them half as much as they have taught me. :)
Since nannying takes up most of my time, I don't have as much free time as I used too.
But when I do have free time, I like to practice guitar and photography. Since we are also in the process of moving I have even less free time, but that's okay cause I know this is temporary time and that I will eventually have more free time again.
Now my life may seem boring and it probably is to you, but it's really not. I have so much to be thankful for, I have a great family, food to eat everyday, a job that I love, great friends and some best friends that I miss like crazy!
Now what is the point of this life anyway?
Is it to have a good time?
No, this life is all about giving glory to God, we need to constantly look at our lives to make sure that there is nothing that is taking glory away from God and giving it to ourselves.
I'm not claiming to be perfect or to have it all figured out, but one thing I do know is that God has put me here for a reason and it is my job to glorify Him where I am.
Sometimes I feel like my life isn't really making a difference, but then I have to remember to look at the big picture and remember that God only made 1 me, there is no one in the entire world like me.
And, if i'm not being me, then there is a puzzle piece missing in God's puzzle.
What I'm doing is making a difference even if I don't see it.
Have a blessed and productive week!
